As per Dr. Preethi, Dr. Adinarayana is pioneer in fetal radiology. He knows the fetus thoroughly. Dr. Adi is a great teacher and teaches with lot..lot and lots of interest. He never gets irritated even with the stupid and silly questions. He answers all the questions with lots of interest and dedication. I have always read about good teachers, but he is really the one. Dr. Preethi feels blessed and lucky to meet Dr. Adinarayana and be his student, study under him. He not only teaches about the fetus but also explains about the human values, from the moment the patient arrives, how to be with the patient, how the patient should be on the cot and make her comfortable, how the scanning has to be done, what are the easy techniques for scanning, what is important and most importantly how to consent a patient--one of the most important steps in fetal radiology
Dr. Preethi says she was unaware of most of these before meeting and getting trained with Dr. Adinarayana. Dr. Adinarayana always stresses that there could be silly answers but never silly questions. Dr. Adinarayana knows well to draw the best out of a student and builds lot of confidence in students. He never gets irritated. Be it be 09.00 am in the morning or 10.00 PM in the night, he remains the same with his teaching with same expression. Dr. Preethi feels blessed to have trained with Dr. Adinarayana, if given a chance she would like to learn more from Adinarayana. He is excellent in procedures--fetal reduction, amniocentesis and all. He is simply awesome
I came to know about fetal medicine fellowship through my professor. Fellowship under Dr. Adinarayana sir is very useful as he guided from basics probe techniques to Doppler machine setting and such an elaborated teaching about obstetrics was not provided during MD radiology to me. Patient counselling plays so much important role in Obstetrics scan which i learnt from Adi sir. Entire team is wonderful in guiding and coordinating personally. Also, I got opportunity to write paper on Down's syndrome. This fellowship is not only limited to obstetric scan but lot of importance is given to academic field as well. I am glad to experience such teaching where entire basics is covered and everyone is free to question even small doubts as he always says it's better to ask any doubts rather than keeping queries throughout our practice. Sir asked me to draw heart diagram nearly 7 to 8 times until it came out to be perfect. Thank you sir, for giving us wonderful training. Upcoming 2019 cardiac conference will be very useful for me as being a neuroradiologist, I will get chance to learn more about cardiac field. I look forward to get more opportunities to learn. Lastly Adi sir is a one of a kind teacher. The one I will remember till the rest of my life.
Before joining ADI's Centre, I literally had no experience in ultra-scan not even biometry. Then I heard about ADI sir from my staff and applied for the same. Luckily, I was blessed to learn from ADI sir. From zero when I started, I have come to a state where I can teach my students about basic scans and importance. It is not just about scans, I got to learn about the approach and interaction with patients. Also, not to forget, ADI sir is such a person who does not hesitate to teach us so many times, the same topic until we get it. It is very rare to have such a teacher who is passing his knowledge to us. Thank you ADI sir, for everything. The last 6 months has been such a memorable, wonderful knowledgeable time of my life.
As per Dr. Ashwath, counselling has never been part of the training he had earlier. After joining ADI's Fellowship, he realized the importance of counselling and the next steps involved in the management of conditions. He also understood the importance of counseling for patient benefits and disease management. The working atmosphere during the fellowship was extremely conducive. Dr. Ashwath could ask any doubt to sir without any hindrance, even the silliest of the doubts were easily cleared by Dr. Adinarayana. Dr. ADI always emphasizes that there is no silly question, it's only the silly answer. While Dr. Ashwath started with basic questions initially, over a period of time the quality of questions improved. Thanks to the positive working atmosphere with Dr. Adinarayana. Dr. Ashwath looks forward for the UTU2019 conference which is bound to be an academic feast.
Dr. Suguna says she had a wonderful experience with the fellowship program. She had been doing scans since last 4-5 years and always felt that her scan skills were not complete. She had attended all the workshops and conferences conducted by Dr. ADI and has even read those two books—Understanding the Unborn. She came to know about the fellowship program and was desperate to join. Her journey of fellowship of 6 months was a wonderful experience. The fellowship has improved her skills and she feels more confident. She is thankful to ADI and team for the wonderful experience she had during the fellowship. she even wants to join one more time for the next fellowship

Down syndrome (DS), also called Trisomy 21, is a condition in which extra genetic material causes delays in the way a child develops, both mentally and physically.
Down syndrome (DS) is one of the most common genetic birth disorders. Normally, each cell in the human body contains 23 pairs of chromosomes, which contain the genetic material that determines all our inherited characteristics. We receive half of each chromosome pair from our mother and the other half from our father. Individuals with Down syndrome, have an extra 21st chromosome.
Down syndrome occurs in approximately 1 of 830 live births. It is associated with mild to moderate learning disabilities, developmental delays, characteristic facial features, and low muscle tone in early infancy. Many individuals with Down syndrome also have heart defects, leukemia, early-onset Alzheimer's disease, gastro-intestinal problems, and other health issues. Through a series of screenings and tests, Down syndrome can be detected before and after a baby is born.
